BEING PROFESSIONAL ADJUDICATOR

Being professional adjudicator for debating championship
isn't always an easy thing. Imagine, we should have no personal adjudication
or neutral and fair. If the debate is good, just say it's good. But, if the debater suddenly speechless, just give no mark. Yeah, we should be fair for each match even we don't like, feel uneasy, or when suddenly we should adjudicate our school. That's true, that sometimes, professionalism should be exchanged with feeling uneasy and guilty. But, whatever, we should do what we have to.

Being adjudicator is totally different with being audiences. Being adjudicator means we should be brave to release all of our attributes as teacher in a school, for example. When we are being adjudicator, we are not a teacher of a school or, adjudicator itself isn't an instructor anymore in a debate. When we are being adjudicator, we may expect that our school "must" win, but we may not make our school wins except our school is really qualified enough. So that's why, there's a rule, no adjudicator adjudicates his own school, in order to avoid personal adjudicating or egoism for his school. It's a challenge, guys! In fact, every of us of course, has fanatic of our school.
